Space   Coast   Alumnae   Chapter Philanthropy
The primary philanthropy of the Space Coast Alumnae Chapter of Gamma Phi Beta is Christ Aid Ministries, located in Brevard County, FL.  They help abandoned, abused, addicted, and battered women and their children.  The Space Coast Alumnae Chapter supports them by providing continuous donations of various toiletries, clothing, children's toys, old cellular phones, etc.  At each meeting, each member is asked to bring a toiletry item (or the above mentioned items) with them.  The items are then colected by our Philanthropy Chair and delivered to Christ Aid Minitries.  Check out what Christ Aid Ministries is all about:
In keeping with the long time philanthropy of International Gamma Phi Beta, camping for underpriveledged girs, the Space Coast Alumnae Chapter has decided to promote camping here on the Space Coast of Florida.  Being that this is the premier gateway to space, and many of our sisters work for NASA, Boeing, Harris, and ITT Industries Systems Division, it would only be proper that we sponsor young girls to attend some type of space camp at John F. Kennedy Space Center.  A recent opportunity came about where the Space Coast Section of the Society Of Women Engineers (SWE) was sponsoring Camp KSC Scholarships for Girls.  The Space Coast Alumnae Chapter sponsored one need-based scholarship.   For more information on SWE Space coast Section and Camp KSC, check out these links:

The winner of the Camp KSC need-based scholarship that was sponsored by the Space Coast Alumnae Chapter is:
Rachel Howard

Rachel chose to talk about Laurel Clark in her essay on the application.
For this reason, it is very appropriate that we sponsored her.
